This medium sized firm of 20 staff are looking for a very specialist Landscape Architect; the firm encompasses Architecture and Landscape Architecture in tandem. Run by 2 partners, the practice has it's roots in the local community and has grown steadily through out the last 2 years culminating with a move into new offices. They have a very diverse portfolio of clients, project sectors, schemes and services. Their input beings at masterplanning and infrastructure with the capacity to produce designs and schemes that incorporate the aesthetics and context of the site to produce the right scheme for the right site.
Job Requirements
This Landscape Architect job is very niche. You'll be working almost exclusively within the minerals sector as about a third of their work is quarry based. The candidate must demonstrate a background in this diverse sector from initial design management through to LVIA and characterisation. Further emphasis will be placed on you to mentor and train two recently qualified Part III Landscape Assistants in this sector making a small minerals based team. The job would be prefect for a person that enjoys this type of work and wants to see their career out in it. You will have to be AutoCAD proficient, have an analytical mind and be a very structured in you approach to design methodology and reports. MLI status is a pre requisite for the job as is demonstrating the above experience in a significant capacity; both in management and design.
Further Details
The company are very busy, hardworking and rewarding. They do treat their staff very well and have been known to take them to gigs for a night out! They are easily accessible by car but not a great location for public transport. They've shown that a company with a good ethos, business model and business links can grow in today's marketplace that will lead them to strive to bigger things in 2010.
