Teaching Assistant job in Hodgehill, Birmingham
A community Primary school in Hodgehill, Birmingham has a job opportunity for a KS2 Teaching Assistant to support the curriculum in year 6.

In a recent OFSTED the school was praised for it's creative cross-curricular approach.
You will be working under the direction of the class teacher, following IEPs and intervention programs for targeted groups of pupils with SEN. Therefor knowledge of the curriculum at this level, aswell as confidence in your own Maths, Literacy and ICT skills.
Experience of using the Ruth Miskin Phonic Strategy and supporting pupils through SATs would be preferable but not essential.
Candidates must have:
- NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- A good level of Numeracy and Literacy
- Details of at least two referees
- At least 3 months recent experience in an educational setting in the last 2 years
- An enhanced CRB disclosure or undergo an enhanced CRB disclosure prior to appointment
- The role is temporary however there is a strong possibility it will become permanent for the right candidate.
