Young Person's Deputy Manager

The Resourcing Group is a UK Based specialist recruitment agency dedicated to serving the housing sector.

Due to our increasing reputation in the public sector, we urgently require
a project manager for a young person's project based in the West Midlands.

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall management of the project that provides accommodation to young persons aged between 16 and 25 who are homeless or threatened with homelessness, and in need of support to enable them to move on to more independent accommodation.

The Project Manager has a key role in ensuring that the project offers a supportive and safe environment to enable residents to develop personal, social and life skills; whilst working within the aims and objectives of the Supporting people framework.

Job Description:
- To be responsible for the selection and admission of residents through a comprehensive 'Needs and Risk Assessment' procedure that is relevant to each scheme
- To ensure that residents claim Housing Benefit promptly, and that all necessary information for processing the application is completed without undue delay.
- To ensure that residents support needs are met in accordance with the Supporting People framework.
- To be responsible for the recruitment, appointment and induction of staff members and on-going supervision.
- To manage expenditure within the agreed budget.
- To organise regular meetings of staff and residents both together and separately.

Applicants will need to demonstrate 1 year successful work experience with young single people, have flexibility to cover additional duties and work unsociable hours and knowledge of the supporting people quality assessment framework.
