Position: Regional Team Leader - Midlands ideally based in Birmingham

Contract Type: Permanent - Full Time
Rate of Pay: upto £25,000 (depending on experience) plus up to 15% performance related bonus
Package includes: Company car and full mobile office
Location: Ideally based in Birmingham
To professionally guide, mentor, motivate and direct a team of Field Executives within the midlands area with full accountability for the smooth running of the region to provide quality information and deliver a unique service for the client.
To efficiently identify and allocate incoming requests to the team, prioritising activities and monitoring team resource so that customer needs are consistently met.
Achieving 100% coverage of allocated activities within the region, using all available resources to ensure that this objective is met each month
To cover a minimum of 1 day of calls a week and provide holiday and sickness cover where required
Ensuring that each direct report clearly understands their job role, key result areas (and how these are influenced) and the standards of performance and conduct, which are required of them
Assist with carrying out and documenting field accompaniments; ensuring that the client standards of performance are consistently met
To assist the Divisional manager with performance appraisals for the team, identifying weaknesses and offering coaching and mentoring where required
Maximising the direct reports use of time by ensuring all planners are well organised and the additional days are utilised effectively to deliver a true return on investment
Assisting direct reports with the improvement of skills through personal development plans. To ensure that training is delivered where appropriate to meet staff development, business objectives and succession plan requirements
Developing business objectives and quarterly KRAs for the region with the Divisional manager; these will be documented and communicated to direct reports within specified time scales
To assist with the preparation and delivery of monthly Team meetings
Encouraging creative thinking and problem solving at all levels of operation, ideas and best practice should be presented to your Divisional Manager
Care-taking other divisions in the absence of colleagues, as instructed by your line manager
Managing, monitoring and implementing the overall effectiveness of the functions/campaign with the overriding objective of providing cost effective/ measurable solutions to the client
Partnering with ASMs and build ongoing field marketing activity and events in each respective area
Monitoring activity that the Field Executives deliver to ensure that it is cost effective and delivering a ROI for the client
The role will involve regular weekend and evening work therefore it is essential the employee demonstrates a flexible approach to working hours and travel and should be contactable at all times
Key Skills / Experience: High level reading and writing skills are essential as the candidate will be required to create, compose and edit written materials and reports
Ability to persuade and influence others and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to develop strong relationships with the regional store managers and maximize opportunities for the client
Ability to deliver and develop presentations to ensure they are appropriate to the relevant tiers and channels
Demonstrate previous sales and retail experience, particularly within the Consumer Electronics industry
Demonstrate the ability to coordinate and motivate a team of individuals
Identify and feedback business critical data relevant to the different sales groups
Maintain a high level of product knowledge by attending team meetings; reviewing professional publications and keeping up to date with competitor and market developments
Must possess strong organisational skills
Essential Requirements: Minimum qualifications:
HND/HNC Level in Retail/Marketing/Management
Or can demonstrate alternative acceptable qualifications equivalent to the above
Previous managerial/team leader experience
Full current UK driving License and been driving for over 12 months
Desirable:
To have worked in a retail/ Consumer environment, or be able to demonstrate knowledge of the above
Is in receipt of a supervisory/management qualification
Can demonstrate experience of managing a small team
Experience of being in a sales environment
