Technical Support Consultant
At OLR, a Technical Support Consultant is responsible for providing Oracle Retail software product knowledge to develop, enhance, and maintain OLR's clients application functionality. This position regularly communicates with clients by providing on-call support as needed in conjuction with our other support offices in Australia and the US.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
· Analyzing and defining client data conversion, interface, and application enhancement requirements
· Designing, building and testing application enhancements, modifications, and interfaces applications
· Logging, reporting, and resolving Oracle Retail application issues for clients
· Assisting in maintaining software development environment
· Supporting and troubleshooting client production environments
· Frequently performing knowledge transfer to client personnel regarding Oracle Retail applications, requirements, and functionality
· Performing go-live assessments to determine readiness of the system as well as client and support teams
Skills and Experience necessary include:
-Understanding of Oracle Retail solution technical concepts, integration points, and functional application knowledge
-Demonstrated sense of urgency and willingness to provide exceptional customer service
-High degree of initiative, accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail
-Ability to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining a positive attitude under stressful circumstances
-Ability to be flexible and adapt to change in a complex global organisation

-Must have working knowledge of the following: PL/SQL, C / C++, Oracle ProC, Java (J2EE and swing), Oracle Forms, XML, or UNIX (shell scripting)
