Software Developer / Programmer - ASP.Net, ASP, SQL - Birmingham

A successful, high profile company in the insurance sector is now seeking to recruit an experienced Software Developer / Programmer to work out of offices in Birmingham.

The ideal candidate will be 'A' level or degree educated and have a relevant Microsoft Certification (MCSD, MCAD, MCP, MCTS etc). You will have at least 3 years solid commercial experience as a Software Developer / Programmer in a similar role developing business solutions. You will have previous relevant experience as a Developer / Programmer working with ASP, ASP.Net, SQL, JavaScript, IIS, HTML and be a good communicator with a customer focused outlook.

Your role will be to proactively work with the business to develop software to support the flow of work and deliver business efficiencies.

As a Software Developer / Programmer your daily activities will include;

- Writing code to agreed standards
- Ensuring written code conforms to quality standards
- Assuring that code produced is of the highest standard with the lowest failure rate
- Working with and reporting to the Project Team to refine expectations, feedback ideas and clarify requirements
- Performing maintenance programming and correction of identified defects
- Delivering software solutions to meet specifications
- Robustly testing software

The role attracts excellent compensation including a Salary of £25,000 to £30,000 plus a full benefits package and training.

The role will suit individuals currently working as Software Developer, Software Programmer, Software Engineer, Programmer, Analyst Programmer, Application Developer, Web Developer and living within a commutable distance of Birmingham, Coventry, Leicester, Solihull, Tamworth, Staffordshire, Walsall, West Midlands or willing to relocate.
