The Company
Our Client is one of Europe's leading multidisciplinary design practices with Engineers, Architects and allied professions combining to create award winning buildings. They are committed to producing buildings and environments of the highest quality for their clients. They are looking to recruit a high calibre, experienced and appropriately qualified Associate Electrical Director to join their expanding Building Services Division based in the Head Office and to work on high profile projects. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding company.
The Position
As the Electrical Associate you will be responsible for managing a team of electrical design engineers within a Building Services environment. As part of the management team your responsibilities will include the financial viability of projects, staff recruitment and morale, cash collections, QA monitoring, preparation of project bids and the establishment and implementation of office and group policy.
You will be responsibility for project delivery and management of multi-million pound schemes working closely with the client, contractor and architect.
You will also be responsible for assisting in the development of the division, looking at new opportunities with existing clients and generating new business leads.
Your duties will include
* Acting as the focal point for the electrical engineering profession; which forms a key part of our Environmental Engineering Profession, in their Head Office.
* Leading the electrical team in the design of high profile and technically challenging projects in the healthcare, education, workplace and industrial sectors.
* Interfacing with clients and will play an active role in secure future work.
* Playing an active role in reviewing the workload of the electrical team and, working with the Directors, ensuring financial performance.
* Proposals for career advancement are excellent.
The Person
Preferably you will be a Chartered Electrical Building Services Engineer with a strong background working for a consultancy in a supervisory role. You should have design capabilities, able to check design specifications, be confident project managing and dealing with the client. Able to chair site meetings and have experience following projects through from initial concept through to final account.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to progress their career to director level status within 2 years.
