We are currently inviting applications from Principal level engineers with significant experience in the design of Hydro Power schemes. The position will be based in one of a number of UK locations depending on the applicants preference; locations include Bristol, Leeds, Glasgow and Birmingham.

The successful applicant will be the lead designer on small and medium sized Hydro generation projects, or part of a project team on major commissions. It is important that applicants have experienced responsibility for planning and managing the delivery of the design elements of the project (including time and cost).

Applicants will be educate to at least BSc level preferably in an Energy Engineering related field. An MSc in a specialised subject would also be advantageous. You should also be working towards or be a member of a Recognised professional body including membership of Energy Institute and/or other appropriate/relevant professional bodies.

Demonstrable post-graduate experience in the renewable energy sector is vital, the majority of which should be in the hydro-energy market. You should also have a detailed knowledge/experience of the management of Hydro generation projects, both financially and technically and have appropriate experience in design, contract and tender preparation, tender assessment, construction supervision and administration with regards to Hydro generation projects.
You will also be required to demonstrate experience in Hydro energy generation from sub 100kW to 1MW including the commercial understanding of the project lifecycle.
