Personal
I am a hard working individual who is easy to get on with. I can work successfully as part of a team or as an individual. I moved to Birmingham to study in September of 2006 from Derbyshire, where previous to this I had worked successfully with young people who demonstrated challenging behaviour for a period of five years in children’s homes, in the community and in a secure unit children’s home. From August 2008 to July 27th, I was working in the capacity as a Senior Support Officer working with young unsupported asylum seekers from war torn areas of the world. From August 2009 I have been working for Care Agencies, covering shifts at childrens homes, homeless hostels and mental health support work. Additionally, from October 2009 I have been working as a Family Support Worker with Dudley Council.

I worked full time hours in my period as a children’s home worker acting as Education Officer where I arranged activity days for children’s homes. I arranged and took young people to London for weekends, to theme parks such as Drayton Manor and Alton Towers. I acted as keyworker for young people, did risk assessments, wrote up young people’s daily logs and liaised with families.
