Social Worker - Fostering - West Midlands
A leading provider of services for children and young people requires an experienced and qualified Social Worker to join their Fostering Team.
The primary purpose of the role that all carers offer a high standard of care that ensures that the best interests of placed children can be met. Specifically, this means that the Fostering Social Worker will be responsible for the recruitment, assessment, training, support, supervision and development of the client's foster carers.
You will be a Qualified Social Worker possessing Post Graduate Qualification (Degree, DipSW or CQSW) and valid GSCC Registration. Candidates must also have experience of working in a childcare environment, preferably in a foster care or family placement setting. Knowledge of fostering regulations and the National Minimum Standards are important requirements for anybody wishing to successfully apply.
The role is based in and around the Birmingham area. This is easily commutable from locations in the West Midlands such as Sandwell, Solihull, Sutton Coldfield, Smethwick, Oldbury, Dudley, West Bromwich, Walsall, Woverhampton and beyond.
