Birmingham musical instruments / amps for sale
Ltd Edition Gibson Les Paul Bfg Trans Black Offer (£1)
PLEASE NOTE SENSIBLE OFFERS ONLY. IE No dealers, or people trying to get it cheap. My highest offer so far has been £650, which is close to my minimum price, but check out the guitar on ebay to get a rough idea of its value.
Anyway, onto the guitar.
Features are:
Chambered Mahogany Body, mahogany neck
Burstbucker 3 in the bridge, P90 in neck,
lower controls: 2x vol, 1x tone, 1x 3 way pickup select
PU select place: Killswitch (One of the main things that seperates this from standard les pauls, other than the looks and tone)
Unsanded top (which makes it ripply, and gives it the paint effect, nice to stroke it :))
It has also had a truss rod cover, pickup ring and PU selector tip added, but you can easily remove these if you want the originality.
Original Gibson "shop worn" hard case is included.
I'm selling this for two reasons: 1, I need money to fund my home studio, and two, because im scared to damage it. Its in almost MINT condition, and it hasn't even left its fitted case in over a month, because i've been playing my cheaper and more expendable Ibanez guitar. This guitar was a limited run and only made for a couple of years, so the value will constantly increase.
The guitar itself is by far one of the best guitars i've ever played, but apparently it needs new strings. The strings on it are pretty much new, but they are Jim Dunlop which apparently don't seem to like Marshall amps, which my main one is. The strings buzz while not playing through marshalls, but they are fine through my Roland amp (I havent tested any others)
As for the tone it sounds amazing for both clean and distortion. Using the P90 for clean you can get some really warm tones with the right amp set up, and hit the switch to the Burstbucker and whack on the gain and you can really make it scream. The neck is pretty nice, one of the best i've played on a Les Paul. its not quite as thin as the modern Ibanez ones but at least you have something to grip with this, and its definatly thinner than the '59 baseball bat ones.
I've played this alongside more expensive les paul standards and customs, I played about 10 guitars, this was the cheapest and was number 2 out of the all (number 1 was a '59 custom reissue, and was also extremely expensive) - so if you want a les paul for under £1k this is the guitar to get.
If you want to know anything else about the guitar (even just general information to sell your own) or you want more pictures, or to try it, or to make me an offer, then just contact me below.
Sorry for the wordy post, just I really want to sell this outside of ebay.
