Project Manager / Software Development Manager, Frankfurt, Germany / Deutschland

A successful Software House that develops software for the media and online industries is now seeking to recruit an experienced, English speaking and highly professional Project Manager to manage a software development team and successfully deliver products and projects to customers based in offices near Frankfurt in Germany.

As Project Manager your role will be responsible for the alignment of the technical development strategy and planning with company's business model. You will aid in product vision development with the rest of the management team and assemble and coordinate project staff. Your role will also involve overseeing planning, product and project management, developing and managing a systems architecture that is scalable, adaptable and synchronized with ever changing business needs and development of policies, risk management, standards, and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of IT within the company. From time to time you will assist in sales efforts with product know-how, technical expertise and client relationship skills.

The ideal candidate will be degree educated in computer science and have a qualification in project management or equivalent along with knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of Project
Management. It is essential that you have extensive experience with formal Software Development Life Cycle
Models and have experience of managing and delivering both products and projects. Your Software Development Manager skills will also be key to success in this role.

Of equal importance is your experience working in and leading international teams and a demonstrable ability to work in a dynamic small-team startup environment. You will have strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills along with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (German is
a plus). Candidates should have critical thinking and problem solving skills, high energy, great interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to work collaboratively with a team in an entrepreneurial environment. It is important candidates be self-motivated.

Salary level is competitive and likely to be in the range of EUR50k to EUR65k depending on skills and experience.

The role will suit individuals currently working as a Project Manager, Software Development Manager, Project Leader, Senior Software Developer, Programme Manager, IT Director and living within a commutable distance of Frankfurt, Germany, Deutschland or willing to relocate.
