The Company
RobertHalf Management Resources are recruiting for multiple Interim Clinical Coders to assist a West Midlands NHS Trust
The Role
Highly motivated experienced clinical coders are required to lead the provision of an effective, reliable and responsive clinical coding function within the Trust.
The clinical coding roles are within the Information Management Team of the IM&T Directorate and will be responsible for ensuring the provision of a high quality clinical coding service to the organisation to support data quality, clinical audit and information management.This includes-
1. Utilising the rules and conventions of Read Code terminology, and where appropriate the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (ICD, version 10) and the Office of Population Censuses and Surveys Classification (OPCS4) to ensure that coding meets national standards and guidance.
2. Engaging with local clinicians and service leads at all levels to ensure that clinical coding is effective and accurate and maintained to these national standards.
3. Provision of a comprehensive clinical coding training programme adhering to national guidelines. Training will include the need to translate complex coding requirements into simple clinical concepts and to break down barriers to understanding in many clinical areas.
4. Development of strategy and action plans to ensure that priority requirements can be met.
5. Functioning at subject matter expert level for all clinical coding issues.
Salary & Benefits
£200 - 300 a day; Limited company
