A Design and Construction specialist operating in the Commercial, Industrial, Retail, Leisure, Education, Health and Hotel sectors are looking to recruit a Bid Assistant to join the head office team and work closely with the Estimator and Business Development team in the compilation of Pre-Qualification Questionnaires.
This role will suit a technically minded Graduate with at least one year of practical construction industry experience.
Working closely with the Estimator and Design Manager, you will be responsible for the compilation of client, technical and commercial information for inclusion in pre qualification questionnaires. This is the client's first step in selecting the contractor to whom it will appoint to build it's scheme and is a thorough and impressive document is required to secure a place on the tender list. This role is there fore vital in the process of creating opportunities to win future work.
You will therefore play a major role in the process of tendering for and winning future workload for the contractor, and the ongoing success and growth of the business.
You will possess technical and commercial knowledge, with the ability to explain construction processes and materials, plus their respective benefits in terms of time, cost, quality and suitability to the client's needs.
You will have excellent communication skills both verbal and written, plus be able to work well within a busy team and to tight deadlines.
You will be highly motivated and well organised demonstrating a high level of computer literacy..
