I require a carer/PA,

I am 25, male and have Muscular Dystrophy (MD), I work full time amongst 3 jobs. I require a new PA to work for me every week between Thursday at 6:30 pm, straight through to Saturday at 12 midday, including sleeping in nights.

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

Personal care.
Accompanying me on social occasions.
Assisting me with practical tasks at home and also at work.
General domestic duties, cleaning, cooking, shopping etc.
You may be required to accompany me on holidays, as I like to travel and see the world.

A Bit About Me:

I am 25 and lead an active life. I work a lot, 4 days a week at a software company, 1 day a week as a college researcher, and currently 2 nights a week teaching photography! I enjoy many different things in life, and am willing to give most things a go. I enjoy going to the cinema and to gigs, and especially enjoy going out with friends and colleagues, all of whom are very open to my PA’s and make them feel very welcome. I also enjoy staying in and am quite happy in front of the telly with a takeaway!

I am ideally looking for a PA/carer who is quite happy having an unpredictable job, as I tend to do things on a spur of the moment basis. If you end up working for me, don’t be too surprised if I text you a couple of days before to say we are having a weekend away somewhere…

If I am honest I am not too worried about your experience in care, it is far more important that we get on, as we will be potentially spending a lot of time together in various social situations. There is no aspect of working for me that is medically complicated, and I can explain everything that needs doing to you, you will be fine as long as you have a willingness to listen!

The only criteria I do insist upon is that you will have a willingness to keep my flat clean and tidy, I have had many carers in the past who neglect simple domestic duties, which are part of the job role, I am not a clean freak, I just expect a decent level of tidiness! It would also be an advantage if you can drive as I will need to be driven to work.
