Previous work experience: i have previously worked in a shop with the role of a Sales Assistant and Secetary (Part-time) in a family business in Birmingham.
As a sales assistant I had to attend to all customer needs which meant approaching every customer to see if they needed any assistance on purchases or finding a particular item within the store. I also operated the tills and served customers. When on the shop floor I was expected to watch the front doors for security issues. I assisted other employees in taking reject items from the counter and putting them back out on the shop floor. I also answered the shop phone and helped customers with enquiries about items in store.
Working as part of a team meant planning, organisation, cooperation and commitment was essential.
