Gis Analyst
GIS Analyst with Geostatistical Analysis experience
£30,000 - £39,000
My client is looking for a GIS professional with exceptional Geostatistical analysis skills and with a strong knowledge of using remote sensing imagery and environmental data.
In addition to the work you will be doing within Geostatistical analysis and research you will also be required to provide senior level GIS support in the development and implementation of the Geostatistical components of various GIS projects.
Your skills with Geostatistical techniques will be such that you are able to provide training in this area to other GIS professionals when that should be necessary.
Interpretation, management and analysis of highly complex and specialised geographic information in context of specific GIS projects and development of Geostatistical analysis capability
You will also be required to access the suitability and quality of specialised GIS datasets for both ongoing projects and future GIS development so previous experience of dealing with the major providers would be helpful.
Experience Necessary;
> Experience of the application of Geostatistical techniques to environmental data using GIS and statistical tools
> Experience of application of Geostatistical techniques to risk assessment - using ArcGIS, Erdas Imagine or similar
> Advanced knowledge of Geostatistical techniques such as kriging and multivariate analysis of spatial data
> Competence with complex raster and vector based GIS analytical techniques
> Degree educated (Ideally with - PhD / Masters + 1st Class Degree)
