HEAD OF MARKETING FOR EXPANDING ONLINE TOUR OPERATOR

My client is a successful, growing, independent Tour Operator who is looking to recruit to their Marketing Department an experience and all-round marketing professional as Head of Marketing.

HEAD OF MARKETING (TOUR OPERATIONS) DUTIES:

* Co-ordination the activities of the marketing department
* Direct reports include four marketing managers: online, teletext, trade sales and direct marketing
* Setting objectives and achieving targets
* Responsible for budgeting and effective use of budget
* Monitoring and reacting to changes in the market condition, in order to capitalise on such changes

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR HEAD OF MARKETING:

* Solid previous Marketing Manager experience
* Responsible for managing a marketing spend in excess of £2 million pa
* Experience in direct sell marketing is essential
* Strongly prefer experience of online, teletext, affiliate and third party marketing
* Experience of brochure production and distributing product through the trade
* MUST be performance driven and able to react rapidly to changes in the market conditions. Proven track recorded in achieving target returns on marketing spend and getting new product onto the market quickly to achieve target margins

THE PACKAGE:

A highly competitive starting salary of up to circa £40k pa is on offer. A profit related bonus scheme will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
