My Client is looking to further strengthen our market position and level of expertise by growing our Birmingham Rating Department. We are therefore seeking a team player to stimulate further profitable growth through both their own clients and an existing, impressive client base.

We have a reputation in our Region for delivering first class Rating consultancy advice. That said, our aim is to invest in that special type of person to work in our Birmingham Rating team; a person, who enjoys responding to challenges and uses initiatives to generate significant fee income.

The ideal candidate will contribute significantly to the growth of the Rating team. Maintaining a high level of service to all clients, this person will ensure that the company sustains and enhances its reputation for the quality of its expert strategic advice, to both the private and public sectors.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for their own client portfolio working alongside senior colleagues and Partners. They will cover all aspects of Rating work and provide advice on a broad range of issues by being involved in a wide range of projects in locations throughout Yorkshire and the North East.

• Client liaison
• Appeal advice
• Inspecting properties
• Valuing for rating purposes
• Negotiation
• Some portfolio management
• Devising initiatives for new work

• Numerate
• IT literate
• Able to work autonomously as well as part of a team
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Flexible and responsive to changing demands
• Able to work under pressure
• Professional in their approach
• A pragmatic approach to negotiation
• Able to build relationships and be able to identify new business opportunities
