Yamaha YFL311ii flute for sale. Full overhaul in April.

YFL300 series flutes have for a long time been one of the most popular upgrade flutes available - ideal for intermediate players in need of a better flute. This flute has a solid silver headjoint with silver-plated nikel body and foot joint. It is closed hole.

The flute has only had one owner (me). I used it for several years, through to studying music at university.

It has just had a complete overhaul. This means it has had new pads and tail felts, a new headjoint cork and a thorough stripdown and clean. The postworkshop report reads 'a very nice flute in excellent condition'.

I have not played it since the overhaul (which took place at the end of April) and will not be playing it again. Therefore this is as close to 'as new' as a second-hand flute of this age will get.

The flute comes with its original hard case and cleaning rod.

The only points of criticism I can find are:
- There is a slight dent at the bottom of the headjoint. This has been repaired and does not affect the sound. It is not visible when the flute is joined together for playing.
- There are some tiny marks on a handful of parts of the body and keywork. These are only visible on close inspection, and do not affect the sound.
- The outside of the case is fairly worn - it is quite scratched and the Yamaha logo is slightly faded. Obviously this doesn't affect the sound! If you wanted to make this a present, new hard cases can be bought.
