The new look BT Hub Phone 2.1 will only be available in black to match the Hub. The Hub Phone has the following benefits:

Refreshed design to match the new BT Home Hub 2.0
A new, improved user interface compatible with other BT products
Shared address book facility so that customers can share contacts across multiple phones
It slots into the front of the Hub or can be placed anywhere else in the home using its own power supply. The Hub Phone 2.1 is a digital cordless DECT phone that is specially designed for use with the BT Home Hub 2.0 and BT Broadband Talk. Up to five Hub Phones can be connected to the Hub.

Software updates will now be delivered to this phone wirelessly, so it does not need to be sitting in a charging cradle to get these updates.

The BT Hub Phone 2.1 supports High Definition Sound, which gives better sound quality than a normal phone line. This can be described as the equivalent between AM and FM radio. High Definition Sound will only work if both the caller and recipient use a Hub phone.
