Galley Kitchen Postions On Board Cruise Ships.

Cruise Ship Executive Chef.
Ensures the efficient operation of all food production areas: constantly analysing cost and quality of food production, knowing to manage within set budgets and adhere to time management guide lines. Checks all food outlets, buffets, action stations and food displays for creativity, quality, cleanliness and safe food handling. Responsible for implementing and maintaining all standards set by Corporate office,establishes the manner and means to train personnel in his/her area of responsibility according to standard operating procedures. Must possess strong leadership skills. Accomplish tasks related to inventory,equipment control and maintenance, must have comprehensive knowledge ofUnited States Public Health rules and regulations, and participate intraining and re-enforcement.
Salary: $5,500 – $7,500 US per month. (Approx: £2,750 - £3,750 per month).

Cruise Ship Chef De Partie.
Prepares and produces gourmet cuisine and sauces. Manages food displays on buffets and in restaurants. Four to five years experience in subordinate position on board and/or hotel and restaurant experience required. Culinary school education required along with good English language skills. Possible promotion to Executive Chef.
Salary range: $3,800 - $4,300 US per month. Approx: £1,900 - £2,150 per month).

Cruise Ship 1st Cook.
First Cook Supervises 2nd and 3rd cooks, bakers and provisions. Food preparation and cooking responsibilities as directed by the Executive Chef – two / three years in subordinate position on board and/or hotel and restaurant experience required. Good English language skills required. Possible promotion to Assistant Executive Chef.
Salary range: $2,600 - $2,900 US per month, (Approx: £1,300 - £1,450 per month).

Cruise Ship Second Cook/Third Cook.
Food preparation and cooking responsibilities as directed by First Cook, supervises bakers, pastry cooks, cleaners and provisions) – one or two years subordinate position on board and/or hotel and restaurant experience required. English language skills required. Possible promotion to 1st Cook
Salary range: $1,400 - $1,700 US per month. (Approx: £1,200 - £1,350 per month).

Cruise Ship Cook Trainee.
Food preparation and cooking responsibilities as directed by the First Cook) – prior hotel/restaurant experience required. Culinary school education required. English language skills required. Possible promotion to 3rd Cook.
Salary range: $800 – $1,000 US per month. (Approx: £400 - £500 per month).

Cruise Ship Crew Cook/Assistant Crew Cook/Trainee.
Food preparation and cooking responsibilities for the crew as directed by the first cook) – prior hotel/restaurant experience required. Culinary school education required, English Language skills required. Possible promotion to 3rd Cook.
Salary range: $800 – $1,500 US per month. (Approx: £400 - £750 per month).

Cruise Ship Crew Cook Utility/Mess man.
Cleaning, general maintenance as directed by the first cook – entry level position, no experience required. Basic English language skills required.
Salary range: $700 – $1,000 US per month. (Approx: 350 - £500 per month).


Cruise Ship Assistant Pastry Chef Supervisor.
Responsible for the supervision of the pastry staff as directed by the Pastry Chef Supervisor. Oversees the developing and preparation of all pastries. Culinary background of no less than three years restaurant/hotel experience or prior experience in subordinate position on board required. Possible promotion to Pastry Chef Supervisor.
Salary range: $1,600 - $2,200 US per month. (Approx: £800 - £1,100 per month).

Cruise Ship Pastry Trainee.
Pastry support staff responsible for assisting in the preparation and cooking of all pastries as directed by the Pastry Chef Supervisor. Cleaning and maintenance of pastry stations. Culinary background of no less than one year restaurant/hotel experience or prior experience in subordinate position on board required. Basic English language skills required. Possible promotion to Pastry Man
Salary range: $800 - $1,300 US per month. (Approx: £400 - £650 per month).

Cruise Ship Baker Supervisor.
Responsible for the bakery staff. Controls the preparation and cooking of all bakery products. Culinary background of no less than three years restaurant /hotel experience. Good English language skills required.
Salary range: $2,000 – $2,500 US per month. (Approx: £1,000 - £1,250 per month).


Cruise Ship Baker.
Responsible for preparation and cooking of all bakery products as directed by the Baker Supervisor. Culinary background of no less than two years restaurant/hotel experience or prior experience in subordinate position on board required. Good English language skills required. Possible promotion to Assistant Baker Supervisor.
Salary range: $1,300 – $1,700 US per month. (Approx: $650 - £850 per month).

Cruise Ship Butcher Supervisor.
Responsible for the supervision of all butcher staff in the proper handing, storage of meat Works closely with Executive Chef regarding ordering, Distribution and stock Control of all meat supplies.
Salary range $2,000 – $2,500 US per month. Approx: £1,000 - £1,250 per month).


Cruise Ship Galley Cleaner, Dishwasher, Pot Washer
Cleaning and maintenance and stacking of all galley stations and passengers’ dishes, pots etc. - Basic English language skills required.
Salary range: $800 – $1,000 US per month. (Approx: £400 - £500 per month.
