This position is based in Hereford, Herefordshire

Salary up to £19,999 per annum.

Job Description

An experience, fully qualified person is required to carry out chainsaw operations on trees throughout the county during the tree maintenance season.

You will also need to: complete work schedules, instructions and Streetscene duties in accordance with contracts and requirements in a tidy, efficient and cost effective manner to the highest standards; drive/use vehicles such as pickups, vans, light plant, sweepers and mowers as and when required; carry out appropriate safety checks on all vehicles and machinery.

When the main tree maintenance season comes to an end, you will be required to carry out general streetscene duties including mowing, strimming, weeding, planting etc.


Requirements

NPTC certificates (or equivalent):
Felling Large Trees
Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue
Using a Chainsaw from a Rope and Harness

Responsibilities

Ensuring all works are carried out safely
Filling in paperwork eg. timesheets, vehicle checks
Follow schedules
Provide 'best value' methods of work
