C# .NET ASP.NET Head of Development - C# ASP.NET - Digital Agency - Leamington Spa - C#.NET

C# .NET Senior Developer / Team Leader required to carry out the role of Head of Digital Development at one of the UK's highest regarded Digital Design agencies located in rural Warwickshire!

As Head of Digital Development your job requires you to manage the digital development resource including the quality of all developer work, within agreed budget and time frames. To contribute to clients digital strategies and briefs, to present to clients and to liaise with suppliers, projecting a professional and well-organised image.

Further you will be a key player in the ongoing development and implementation of the clients digital strategy providing input on technologies and technical platforms they should include in its portfolio of digital services. As required you will also act as lead developer working with the development team to deliver client projects.

Main Activities and Responsibilities
* Management responsibility for the digital development team and its associated functions and resources.
* Work with Project Management team to develop project proposals including developing internal estimates and timing plans
* Develop technical specifications for client projects.
* Work with and as part of development team to deliver digital projects to agreed specifications on time and on budget including liaising with colleagues and suppliers as appropriate
* Allocating work to staff to ensure optimum use of resources
* Liaising with project manager over briefs, timing and capacity
* Manage line responsibilities (appraisals, training, personal development etc.)
* Liaise with other partners to ensure optimum co-operation and workflow.
* Ensure necessary despatch, filing and administration is undertaken
* Contribute to client proposals by attending brainstorms, review options etc
* To play an active role within the agency's new business process
* Carry out general duties as instructed by your Director or other Directors.





Other responsibilities
* To work with others to help "sell" the work internally, in order that the account teams and project managers improve at selling the work on to clients
* Ensure that efficient budgetary control is exercised with regard to the use of freelancers and other outside suppliers. Liaison with the relevant account group and project managers is essential
* To direct and contribute to the development of good working practice within the agency

Knowledge and Experience
* Previous experience in software development or digital agency
* Proven management and administrative skills
* Educated to degree level or equivalent
* Evidence of executional and conceptual skills
* Extensive skills in SQL, VB, ASP & HTML
* Ability to work under pressure
