To act as lead designer on small and medium sized projects, or part of a project team on major commissions. Responsible for planning and managing the delivery of the design elements of the project (including time and cost), either alone or through multi-discipline project teams. Technical lead in the areas of energy yield assessment, turbine layout optimisation and performance. This will include in-house modelling using propriety wind farm modelling packages as well as review of other consultants wind modelling results.

Successful applicants will be educated to at least BSc level preferably in a Renewable Energy related field. An MSc in a specialised subject would also be advantageous. You should also be working towards or be a member of a Recognised professional body including membership of Energy Institute and/or other appropriate/relevant professional bodies.

Experience required
Has knowledge/experience of the management of smaller projects, both financially and technically. Have appropriate experience in design, contract and tender preparation, tender assessment, construction supervision and administration. Demonstrable experience in project planning and tracking via MS Project. Commercial understanding of Wind Turbine/Farm project lifecycle and consultant's various roles within that lifecycle. Familiarity with software packages such as MS Project, Word, Excel, AutoCAD etc. Initial site identification/wind analysis software.
