History Teacher Required
Capita Education is looking for an experienced History teacher to work in a Specialist Performing Arts Secondary School. This post is to start in January 2010 and will be for a minimum of two terms. The school is known for its efforts in engaging pupils in initiatives to raise funds for charity, perform in junior schools and participate in community projects. The ideal teacher will have an enthusiastic and caring approach to teaching ensuring lessons are interactive and well structured for equal delivery across all ability ranges.
The skills we require are:
* Qualified Teacher Status either PGCE or Cert Ed
* Willingness to promote learning
* Strong Classroom Management Skills
* Flexible and adaptable approach to work
* Positive outlook
* Excellent team player
Main duties will involve:
* Teaching History up to GCSE level, ability to teach KS5 would prove as an advantage
* Plan, mark work, get involved in departmental meetings and act as a Form Tutor
* Communicate at all levels
* Work as a team within the department and the school as a whole
* Parents evenings
* Reporting in line with the schools procedures
