PC and Network Support Engineer, Team Leader - Warwick

A successful, high profile company is now seeking to recruit an IT Team Leader. The organisation has 13 manufacturing sites across 7 countries. The UK operation is based in Warwick.

We are looking to recruit an IT Team Leader into a challenging manufacturing environment where he/she will play a pivotal part in shaping IT. This role requires a "doer" with a strategic outlook. You will be a 'hands-on' IT Support Engineer but with responsibility for a small team and duties involving communication with other senior staff members across the whole company.

Key Responsibilities

*To support the UK business through the effective deployment of complex IT system workflows and network infrastructure.
*Responsible for providing the IT interface with retail customers with different systems making sure the data is in the right format. Liaising directly with the customers as well as the German head office
*Plan and deliver IT projects such as new digital workflow (when there are new products, new customers, new hardware etc) and server upgrades, on behalf of the IT team. Managing full IT system and hardware lifecycles from conception through to retirement - understand the requirements, build and test the system and migrate data.
*Daily control and resolution of IT issues utilising IT team, monitoring software and departmental procedures.
*Foster a culture of continuous improvement through a proactive, can-do, customer approach in order to deliver incremental change and enhancement while reducing costs.
*Supervision of IT team

Knowledge Requirements

*Server 2003 and Windows 2000 operating system.
*Windows XP, Linux,
*Network Infrastructure, HP Switches, MPLS, VPN, PC and Server maintenance.
*Microsoft Office, Exchange
*Administrative systems including ERP and Telephones.
*Knowledge of German Language (written and spoken would be an advantage)
*VB and VB.Net programming skills (desirable).

Salary circa £25K-30K dependant on experience.

The role will suit individuals currently working as Network Support, IT Support, PC Support, Team Leader, Supervisor, Server Support, 3rd Line Support and living within a commutable distance of Warwick, Southam, Leamington, Birmingham, Coventry, Banbury, Stratford upon Avon or willing to relocate.
