Statistical Process Control Manager

Salary £24k - £28k depending upon experience + Car
We require an enthusiastic, driven and self-motivated individual with an eye for detail.
Within this role you will be responsible for the Statistical Process Control (SPC) for a select number of ready-mix concrete plants striving to reach and maintain optimum cement contents in all types of concrete.
It will be essential to interact effectively with colleagues in the wider technical team to deliver national strategies without compromising quality helping to make optimum use of raw materials.
You will be familiar with statistical tools and will use appropriate and agreed methods to investigate correlation between particular events and circumstances in order to establish root cause and help implement both short-term and long-term corrective actions.
The role will require you to:
Work as part of a team (of four SPC Advisers) to establish a standard set of procedures and rules by which the SPC system will be operated and managed as well as actively identifying continuous improvement opportunities to develop the current framework.
Work effectively with existing managers to record current methods of operation and control whilst highlighting best-practice across the UK.
Produce process flow diagrams, standard operating procedures, training materials and other documentation to facilitate the creation of best practice library for SPC control and management.
Create and distribute a weekly movements/changes summary which will be communicated to a select number of individual on a weekly basis followed with a monthly one-page summary listing all notable changes.
Establish strong relationships and work closely with District Technical Managers to immediately communicate any abnormalities, anomalies or trends which may impact cost of mixes or risk of strength failure to the customer.
Essential requirements:
· Degree qualified plus 2-3 yrs relevant experience in a multidisciplinary role
· Passionate about quality
· Experience of working in an ISO9001 environment
· Knowledge of Statistical Process Control, multivariate modelling, process capability, and related statistical analysis
· Ability to analyze, adjust, interpret, report, and apply all data gathered on specific product attributes.
· Good interpersonal skills together with an ability to communicate effectively all organizational levels, from operator to senior management
