Self Employed Health Care Adviser
(Business Development Manager)
This opportunity offers you the real prospect to develop your own business under the umbrella of a powerful brand which will allow you to generate new business from an extensive portfolio of products such as Healthcare / Insurance Solutions.
The majority of your appointments will be self-generated through your own marketing / prospecting activities and supported by your manager and the excellent training programme.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Ongoing to be able to meet the requirements of Fitness and Propriety including financial standing and solvency
* To generate New Business registrations face-to-face or via the telephone in line with agreed targets using the protocols laid down in Sales Processes and Procedures Index
* Responsibilities include (for both new and existing members), ensuring best advice is given at all times, relevant membership options are recommended and correct documentation is obtained and forwarded to the applicable department (acting within FSA and ABI parameters)
* To generate personal sector leads using marketing activities in line with guidelines (processes and procedures)
* To devise and maintain, in conjunction with the Area Sales Manager, Business and Marketing plans to ensure all opportunities are maximised, activities are co-ordinated with Central Marketing to ensure all customers receive a consistent and professional message from the brand
* To ensure that all paperwork and computerised systems are accurately maintained and updated, sending referrals to the business centre where appropriate
* To be fully conversant with new business, underwriting and existing member procedures
* Attend all training relating to regulation, competency and product and procedural changes
* To work within the statutory regulatory obligations under the Financial Services and Marketing Act 2000 (as amended from time-to-time)
* Meet reporting requirements as specified by Area Sales Manager in a timely and accurate manner
* Ensure that all customers' confidential documentation is securely locked away to adhere to Data Protection requirements
* You will have the ability to work for other organisations providing there is no conflict with the Terms of Appointment
* Ensure all equipment provided (laptop, computer etc) is properly and securely looked after in accordance with relevant policy and procedures.
* Demonstrate that you pay due regard to the interests of the customers and treat them fairly
Person Specification:
* Sales / Marketing background
* Demonstrate success I meeting business or personal objectives
* Preferably experienced in running your own business or being self-employed
* Previous experience of working to targets
* Ability to work under own initiative and manage and appraise own working practice
* Holding a current driving licence
* Able to demonstrate basic computer literacy, and be capable of meeting changing IT requirements
* Able to meet the requirements of good repute
* To be of a good character and financially stable
* To enthusiastically approach the Adviser Induction Course. This will include pre-induction, induction and post-induction training
* To be proactive in generating and building their business
