This is a backrest that fits to the seatpost of a bike so that you can strap a child onto their bike. It is sold as a special needs attachment but we found it invaluable for putting our daughter on the tagalong bike when she was three and four years old. We didn't want her to be able to get off the bike whenever we stopped (or didn't stop!) or fall off if she was getting sleepy and forgot to hold on :)
