I recently learnt that when I was a teenager, that my father came looking for me, only to be turned away. Hopefully this wouldn't happen to youngsters, nowadays. He has since died but I would dearly like to get to know more about him and his family. I have learnt that he remarried but do know that this can be difficult. I really want to know more about him and his family and where I came from.
His name was Charles Henry Downes, born in 1916 and his last job before his death was that of a social worker in Walsall.
I would be very glad to have any definite information.
