Design Technology Teacher
Capita Education is looking for a driven, enthusiastic, creative Design and Technology Specialist to teach across KS3 - KS4 to start after the Christmas holidays, to work in a larger than average secondary school. This post will be for a minimum of one term, with the potential of going through to a second term. This post will be for a minimum of one term, with the potential of going through to a second term. They have a supportive approach to new teachers within the school and promote a positive attitude within all aspects of the school day. The individual that would suit this post will have a dedicated, proactive approach to teaching with the passion to make a real contribution to the pupils and school.
The skills we require are:
* Qualified Teacher Status either PGCE or Cert Ed
* Excellent communication skills with both pupils and colleagues
* At least 6 months experience working within UK schools
* Ability to motivate and inspire pupils in their education
* Flexible and adaptable approach to teaching
* Strong Classroom Management
* Willingness to work as part of a team
Main duties will involve:
* Teaching D&T up to GCSE level, A Level would be an advantage
* Lesson planning, marking all work, get involved in departmental meetings and possibly act as a Form Tutor
* Communicate at all levels
* Participate in parents evenings
* Reporting in line with the schools procedures
