My Client is looking for an Infrastructure Project Manager ideally from a financial services background to manage the successful delivery of allocated projects, from inception to closure, following the agreed processes and procedures, and in line with agreed objectives, costs and timeframes. Key Responsibilities include: The creation and management of diverse project teams, using subject matter experts from with the organisation, alongside external suppliers/vendors, geographically spread, to work together as a single team to ensure the project goals and objectives are successfully met, within the agreed timeframes. Management of the project finances, resource levels & structure. Regular reporting against project progress, financial status, risk & resource. To present to all levels with the organisation. To follow the agreed project management processes and procedures. In addition you must have hands on experience on projects with some of the following technologies: VMware ESX & Virtualisation, Thin client technologies (Citrix, VDI etc...), Client / Server architectures, Microsoft Windows operating systems & clustering, Microsoft SQL, EMC Storage / Replication, Sun / StorageTek Libraries, Cisco network design, Unisys Clearpath mainframe & MCP, IBM z-series mainframes & Z/OS, Encryption (client connections & file transfer), Network security (e.g. VPN), Server Security (internet facing - ISA, IAG, IPS, IDS),Unisys high speed document processor.
