Technical Manager East Midlands up to £50K
My client a successful consultancy within the banking sector are looking for a Technical Manager to work on end client projects. You must have the folliowing skills to be considered: Execution of assigned design functions within agreed cost, quality, timeline parameters,Provide expert IT infrastructure design capabilities within the team. Engage with the IT (IT and Application) community to facilitate the production of infrastructure designs and supporting documentation. Work with the design / architecture capabilities within the projects (Business, Application and IT) to ensure that proposed solutions are complementary to each other and support defined requirements. Matrix management of assigned resources to achieve agreed project timelines. Obtain sign-off to designs from key stakeholders. Align proposals with strategic / tactical directions approved by the company design authorities, or highlight where requirements drive changes to approved route-maps, seeking approval for all changes. Support the development of processes, policies and procedures to facilitate the effective operation of the infrastructure design function. Promote the companies culture and values ensuring a positive working environment is developed and maintained within the function. In addition you must posses most of the following technical skills to be considered: VMware ESX & Virtualisation, Thin client technologies (Citrix, VDI etc...), Client / Server architectures, Microsoft Windows operating systems & clustering, Microsoft SQL, EMC Storage / Replication, Sun / StorageTek Libraries, Cisco network design, Unisys Clearpath mainframe & MCP, IBM z-series mainframes & Z/OS, Encryption (client connections & file transfer), Network security (e.g. VPN), Server Security (internet facing - ISA, IAG, IPS, IDS),Unisys high speed document processors.
